"Spring Passage" by Kyle Wood
The Hill Country Region of Texas is one of my favorite destinations spots and is the inspiration for many of my paintings. "Spring Passage" is about the renewal of God's Creations on Earth. It was God who created Man and Women, the Heavens, and all the beautiful Flowers and Trees that He provided us and for that I am Thankful.
The Texas Wild Bunch show is just two weeks away! The show will be at YO Ranch Resort Hotel and Conference Center in Kerrville, Texas, on Saturday, March 17th and Sunday March 18th. "Bluebonnet Medley" by Kyle Wood
Here is my latest ACEO Original depiction of The Texas Hill Country filled with the aroma of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes. I have found the ACEO to be a great method for getting a quick thumbnail composition and I have something to look at in terms of value and color. Currently, I am taking the ACEO's that I have completed and working them into slightly larger pieces (up to 11" x 14") that are more refined. More work and postings to come!
Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing this piece or any other work of mine. My email address is kwoodtexasart@yahoo.com. This piece, along with many other pieces can be viewed at www.kwoodfineart.com.
I have also posted this blog to my personal blog, which is www.kylewoodfineart.blogspot.com and to www.landscapeartistsinternational.blogspot.com.
Thanks and Have a wonderful day!

"Texas Traditions" by Kyle Wood
Texas is a mighty big state and there are many traditions and icons here. Two of them are "Longhorns" and the annual spring arrival of our state flower, "The Bluebonnet." This ACEO Original was created from some photographs that I took in the Ennis Area last spring. It is great place to capture Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, which many of them grow along fences. Occasionally, you can see a longhorn or two grazing in the pastures.
If interested in purchasing this ACEO or another work of mine, please contact me for pricing. My email address is kwoodtexasart@yahoo.com.

"Hill Country Treasures" by Kyle Wood
Hill Country Treasures is indeed a facet of The Lone Star State, that we call "Texas." During the spring months, especially in the years where it has been wet, the landscape gets transformed from the dormancy of winter into an explosion of color. Fields that were once bare, become filled with the sweet aroma of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes. To make it more exciting, add old dirt road and a rusty barn in the mix and begins to tell a story. Enjoy!

"Hill Country Passage" by Kyle Wood
Happy New Year to all my artists friends and everyone else out there. Here is one of latest ACEO Originals that I created between Christmas and New Years Holiday. These have been popular and I have sold ten of these throughout the holiday season! Due to popularity, I have decided to continue painting in this format, in addition to larger works that I will create throughout the coming year. These have been quite fun and it has been my experience that the miniature painting format is a good exercise to work out the values, colors, light source, and composition before moving on to a larger painting.

I have also posted this blog at www.artistsoftexas.blogspot.com.
